What your team does:

The Affinity team is a high profile and high visibility team that manages Clio’s 90+ bar, law society, and industry partnerships with the goal of helping our partners successfully market Clio and increase their royalties with us by referring in new accounts. We produce over 100 live and virtual events a year (including our CLE webinar program and sponsored events), contract renewals and fulfillment, and advertising through the partners. Our team is geographically distributed across Vancouver, Toronto, and Florida, which means we excel with async, video, and slack communication to collaborate effectively. We’re a high performing team that supports each other to amplify our ambitions and career goals.

Who you are:

You are a people person who is embedded in the legal tech sector and cares about impacting the legal industry. You understand that partnership programs rely on a personal touch and a mutual desire to succeed. You are known for your communication skills and work well with a tight-knit, high-performing team. You understand the nuances of negotiation and approach it with a people-first mindset. You’re also extremely organized and can keep track of multiple deliverables for multiple partners. You’re excited by the opportunity to be a thought leader in the legal industry through public speaking opportunities, and have a willingness to travel within your territory.

What you’ll work on:

  • Oversee strategic Bar and partner relationships and initiatives to drive awareness, thought leadership and demand for Clio in key territories;

  • Become the subject matter expert on your region as it relates to partners, key contacts, attorney compliance, opportunity availability, and connect that knowledge to internal teams and furthering Clio’s business goals;

  • Research and maintain a deep understanding of market trends and comparable industry programs;

  • Opportunity to speak as a thought leader at industry events and webinars;

  • Develop engagement strategies that strengthen our relationships and has an impact on driving member awareness of and interest in Clio;

  • Represent Clio within the external legal communities, including notable partners and their members, and develop relationships to unlock new opportunities;

  • Maintain and execute against existing affinity contracts;

  • Assist with event management, logistics, and strategy for bar association events and tradeshows in your territory;

  • Manage account-based marketing activities that drive brand awareness, leads, and MQLs for your region, in partnership with sales and demand generation teams, including: identifying target accounts, developing strategy, executing campaigns with the support of cross-functional teams.

  • Manage affinity programs budget for your territory;

  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the marketing organization and the sales team to create integrated field marketing campaigns and drive revenue results;

  • Maintain resources for internal teams on key data points about your partners and territory and share that information frequently;

  • Travel within the US and Canada, as required, up to 50% of time.

What you should have:

  • Experience managing multiple partners to achieve business goals

  • Experience managing event and partnership budgets

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Public speaking experience, with the ability to craft thought leadership and training content for the legal profession

  • Have experience in the legal industry

Serious bonus points if you:

  • Have scaled partnership organizations in a SaaS company
