Clio joined the YWCA Metro Vancouver and a room of the most dynamic women in the city for the reception of the 33rd annual YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. With 83 nominees across 12 awards categories, Clio is proud to sponsor the award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The Women of Distinction Awards celebrates the extraordinary achievements of women across the greater Metro Vancouver area. These inspiring women come from a broad range of industries and have helped to raise awareness and much-needed funds for programs and services at YWCA Vancouver. These annual awards give women a platform to get the recognition they deserve.
Clio is proud to contribute to this annual event and to feature as a legacy sponsor of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation category. The ten nominees in this category include founders, leaders, and innovators that have transformed the industries that they work in and have led the charge for women in business.
Clio believes in the empowerment and enablement of women, both in recognising achievement and encouraging equal opportunity from a young age. Clio is committed to initiatives such as #girlslearningcode and the work of the YWCA in an effort to eliminate inequality in the STEM and tech spheres.
About the YWCA Vancouver.
Continuously evolving to meet the needs of the community, the longstanding vision of the YWCA has been maintained and strengthened over the last 119 years: to achieve women’s equality. Filling gaps in society, addressing urgent community needs and providing a resource of empowerment to women, one of Metro Vancouver’s largest non-profit organizations are focused not only on their success but on the future of the women and families they have yet to help.
The 2016 Women of Distinction Awards Gala will be held on June 8. Clio’s wishes all nominees the best of luck and thanks them for their contributions to their community.
