Clio was invited to sponsor the State Bar of Nevada’s event in welcoming newly sworn-in lawyers to the Transitioning into Practice (TIP): A Mentor Program for Nevada Attorneys.
The Bar held events in both Las Vegas and Reno. Approximately 50 new lawyers and their volunteer mentors met and got to know each other over drinks and hors d’eourves.
It is encouraging to also see a state bar association recognizing the needs of young attorneys.
We would also like to recognize the donation of time by the volunteer mentors. They are truly giving back to the legal profession.
The New Jersey State Bar Association did something similar. It held New Attorney Day in two locations in the state. New attorneys could attend lectures on Civil or Criminal Trial Practice, Law Office Management, Estate Planning and Municipal Court Practice.
Lawyers in both states get a lifetime discount on Clio by being members of their state bar associations.
Nevada went a step further for their membership. They negotiated a deal where members of their Young Lawyers Section can take advantage of additional discounts on Clio. Young Lawyers Section members receive a free 90-day trial period, a 50 percent discount for six months, and a 10 percent lifetime discount thereafter on Clio subscriptions.
