Legal Community Raises $25,000 to Assist with the American Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Efforts

Legal community comes together at this year’s Clio Cloud Conference to raise $25,000, with support of Clio, to aid communities in need.

VANCOUVER, BCClio, the leading cloud-based legal practice management platform, announced a contribution to the American Red Cross at the 2017 annual Clio Cloud Conference.

“I want to acknowledge the fact that we are hosting this year’s conference in New Orleans, which was devastated by a hurricane just 12 years ago. Many of our customers across the nation have been impacted by recent disasters, whether they be floods, wildfires or earthquakes. We know that these are difficult times for all, whether you are a lawyer or not, and we want to help impacted communities get back on their feet with the help of the legal community,” said Jack Newton, CEO and Co-Founder of Clio.

Clio committed to matching funds donated over the course of the Clio Cloud Conference (September 25-26, 2017), dollar for dollar. The company also challenged attendees at this year’s Clio Cloud Conference to join in helping with the relief efforts by donating funds to be distributed by the American Red Cross. To kick off the fundraiser, Clio donated $10,000 on the spot.
A total of $6,438 was provided by 2017 Clio Cloud Conference attendees and Clio employees. Clio matched the donations and added an additional $2,124, on top of the original $10,000 to bring the total donations to $25,000.

“We are grateful to all those who helped us raise money for the American Red Cross and are proud to work with a group of individuals who care as deeply as we do about supporting those in need,” said Newton.
