“If we’re billing 30 or 40 Legal Aid files in a month, I can generate all the bills and then hit a button, and Clio pre-populates the submission to the Legal Aid Agency for me, so the majority of the leg work is gone. Clio’s add-in for legal aid is already set up for us. We have prescribed rates from the Legal Aid Agency, and Clio is always up to date with the correct rates. So basically, monthly billing is just a matter of making sure that fee-earners keep time posting up to date and record their time accurately, and verifying that for submission to the LAA.”
