Pressing Forward:

Resilience and Opportunity in 2020

Did you know that the most impactful innovations emerged from past global crises? Think Newton’s theory of gravity, Gutenberg’s printing press, and even the modest tea bag.

Although innovating in times of crisis sounds impossible, adapting and innovating are essential for surviving—and ultimately, thriving.

Join our host Joshua Lenon, Clio’s Lawyer-in-Residence as he chats with UK law firms about how they have been adapting and innovating in 2020.

 In this webinar, you’ll learn:

  • Why now is the time to create opportunity
  • Tips for future-proofing your business
  • How UK law firms are being innovative right now

Duration: 60 minutes

Adapting and innovating in 2020 and beyond

Lockdown has inspired many individuals to get creative and start working on that great idea for an App which will make them the next Uber, Just Eat or Facebook. A more egalitarian environment for technology development means an app can be developed with little or no capital investment but this also means little or no funds to insure legal compliance. We are working to bridge this legal gap by creating automated tools that allow these entrepreneurs to obtain the compliant "small print" for their new products at a fraction of the price but with the high quality they would get from paying full price for an interview and draft of the same documents.

Foster Clay was co-founded in 2020 by Natalie Foster. The vision for this new innovative firm is to have a friendly, forward-thinking law firm, providing an excellent professional service to individuals and businesses, both locally and nationally. Natalie saw a gap in the market for a firm offering digital legal services and Foster Clay has already become one of the first law firms to implement electronic systems for registering deeds with the land registry in the North.
