Clio Recognised As One of the Best Workplaces™ in Ireland
March 24, 2022Amidst massive global workforce expansion, leading legal software provider Clio has been named as one of the Best Workplaces™ in Ireland
March 23, 2022 – Clio, the world’s leading provider of cloud-based legal technology, has been named one of the Best Workplaces in Ireland™ in 2022 at the 20th annual Great Place to Work Awards.
The award comes as Clio continues to expand its workforce both in Ireland and globally. Currently, the company employs over 800 employees throughout Ireland, Canada, and the United States. That number is expected to grow to 1,000 employees in 2022, as Clio continues its course on a rapid growth trajectory. In Ireland specifically, the company plans to grow its team to more than double in size in 2022, hiring across a range of departments, including customer support, engineering, marketing, and sales.
“We are pleased to be named as one of the best places to work in Ireland for 2022,” Colin Bohanna, Clio General Manager for EMEA, said today. “As Clio continues to invest in growing our team and increasing our reach in Ireland, the UK, and EMEA, we recognise the importance of creating a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and workplace balance. That aim is paramount to creating an environment where people can thrive and do the best work of their career while fulfilling our mission to transform the legal experience for all. That is why we are investing heavily in our people and in our workplace experience, through strategic hires, people-first policies, and competitive employee benefits that include medical and dental insurance, a monthly wellness stipend, a new parental leave policy that offers 22 weeks of fully paid leave to parents of any gender, and a ‘distributed by design’ model that allows employees to work from anywhere.”
He continued, “Clio is proud to be both a mission-led and a value-led organisation. With values such as ‘Thrive as #TeamClio,’ ‘Win and Help Win,’ ‘Design for Diversity,’ and ‘Get Better Every Day,’ we’re creating the kind of culture where employees are positively challenged and nurtured to do meaningful work they can be proud of.”
This is Clio’s first year to be named as a top Irish workplace in the Great Place to Work Awards. To achieve the award, employees of Clio’s Ireland team provided anonymous feedback through an extensive survey about the Clio workplace experience. Clio team members highlighted a number of areas where Clio excelled as a workplace, with 100% of respondents saying they are proud to work for Clio. The company also scored particularly highly across a wide number of categories, including wellbeing, recognition, diversity and inclusion, and management and leadership.
The awarding committee also found that Clio offers tremendous flexibility to employees, both with respect to time off and daily working structure.
Speaking about the awards and the companies who received recognition in 2022, Cathal Divilly, CEO of Great Place to Work® Ireland, highlighted the challenges companies have faced since Covid-19.
“In a year that looked like a second edition of the previous one, putting people at the centre of organisations’ strategies has been more challenging than ever,” he said.
“Organisations that had invested in their culture and people before the pandemic have overcome these challenges with flying colours. Being recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces 2022 demonstrates these organisations’ commitment to improving their culture and putting their people first, whatever challenges they face.”
