We often get calls from customers who want to know if there is an easier and more efficient way to record time entries for services that they charge for frequently, such as initial consultations or phone calls. The answer is, YES! By using our Activity Descriptions feature. This has given many firms the ability to ensure the consistency of time entries across the entire practice and create shortcuts that save time, effort and reduce the chances of typos.
To create an Activity Description simply go to the ‘Activities’ tab in the main menu, select ‘Activity Descriptions’, and click on ‘Add.’ Next, enter and save the text, specify a rate of your choice and you’re done! Now, the next time you enter in a time entry it will automatically populate the text and corresponding rate for you.
As an added bonus you can share these Activity Descriptions with everyone in your account so they can also use them when logging time entries. You can also make your Activity Descriptions visible to a specific group or to a co-counsel you collaborate with through Clio Connect.
