Clio Establishes U.S. Headquarters in New York Following Record Growth
June 4, 2026
The new headquarters marks a new chapter for Clio in the U.S. market, supporting its work with law firms of all sizes
Clio, the global leader in legal AI, today announced the opening of its U.S. headquarters in New York.
The new office will serve as Clio’s U.S. base of operations and the central home for a growing team spanning marketing, product, engineering, sales, and customer success. Clio has been expanding its U.S. workforce over the past year and the New York headquarters puts that team in direct proximity to the largest concentration of law firms and corporate legal departments in the country.
The opening follows a period of accelerating growth. Earlier this month, Clio announced it had surpassed US$500 million in annual recurring revenue, profitably, following the US$1 billion acquisition of vLex, the largest M&A transaction in legal technology history, and a US$500 million Series G round at a US$5 billion valuation. Clio’s platform now serves 400,000 legal professionals across more than 130 countries.
“Legal is experiencing its most significant technological shift in a generation, and New York is at the heart of it,” said Jack Newton, CEO and Founder of Clio. “Establishing our U.S. headquarters here reflects our confidence in where this market is heading and our commitment to being a long-term partner to the firms and legal teams driving that momentum.”
Clio’s U.S. headquarters represents the beginning of a significant investment in the city. The office is expected to grow into a central hub within Clio’s global footprint, with plans to build a full cross-functional presence bringing together teams across engineering, product, sales, customer success, and go-to-market alongside the firms and legal teams they serve.
The Manhattan office is currently under renovation, with full occupancy expected in early 2027. Clio is operating from a temporary New York location in the interim and is actively hiring across multiple functions and seniority levels.
Clio employs more than 2,000 people globally and operates across offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Dublin, Manchester, London, Sydney, Barcelona, and Bogota. New York is Clio’s tenth office and its first dedicated U.S. location.
