Ninth consecutive year of Best Managed recognition reflects sustained excellence in strategy, culture, and operational performance as Clio scales through the legal AI era.
Clio has been named a 2026 Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies — the company’s ninth consecutive year on the list and its third year at the program’s highest tier.
Clio, the global leader in legal AI, today announced that it has been named a 2026 Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. The recognition marks Clio’s ninth consecutive year on the program and its third year at the Platinum tier — reserved for companies that have sustained Best Managed status for seven consecutive years or more.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies, now in its 33rd year, is one of the country’s most rigorous business awards programs, evaluating private Canadian-owned companies with revenues of $50 million or greater across four pillars: strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and financial performance. Requalification is not automatic — every Platinum company is reviewed annually by an independent panel of judges.
Clio’s continued recognition arrives during one of the most consequential periods in the company’s 17-year history. Over the past 12 months, Clio completed its landmark $1B acquisition of vLex, closed a $500M Series G funding round at a $5B valuation, and expanded its global footprint across North America, EMEA, and Latin America. Throughout that period of growth, Clio added hundreds of new employees while sustaining the cultural and operational standards that have defined the company since its founding.
“Nine consecutive years on this list, and three at Platinum, isn’t a story about any single moment. It’s a story about the people who keep showing up to build something that lasts,” said Marina Harris, Chief People Officer at Clio. “We’ve grown significantly through one of the most demanding periods our industry has ever seen, and the things that make Clio Clio — our mission, our standards, our care for the people we hire and the customers we serve — have only deepened. That’s the work. And it’s the people across every team at Clio who deserve this recognition.”
The 2026 cohort of Best Managed Companies shares common themes, including fostering a people-centric culture, implementing a strategic company framework, investing in innovation and technological advancement, and maintaining financial resilience and strong corporate governance. Together, these practices strengthen the Canadian economy by promoting sustainable growth, enhancing competitiveness, and cultivating a thriving business ecosystem.
“Over the past year, companies such as Clio have continually adapted and successfully responded to challenges, seized new opportunities, and leveraged industry leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth,” said Derrick Dempster, Partner, Deloitte Private and Canada’s Best Managed Co-Leader. “These winners have set the standard of excellence for Canada’s business ecosystem by demonstrating a strong commitment to strategic transformation, talent and workforce development, and technological and business adaptability.”
Clio is proud to be a 2026 Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. As the company continues to scale its platform and expand internationally, its sustained recognition reflects a model of growth grounded in disciplined execution, durable culture, and a long-term commitment to the legal profession it serves.
