Clio announces Seattle as host city for ClioCon 2027
The 15th annual Clio conference heads to Seattle under the theme Boundless, focused on legal moving past old limits on practice, growth, and possibility.
Clio, the global leader in legal AI, today announced that ClioCon will take place in Seattle, Washington, on October 7 and 8, 2027.
The theme for ClioCon 2027, Boundless, explores what becomes possible as the traditional limits of legal practice continue to shift, from the work firms can take on to the clients and communities they can serve. The program will examine these opportunities across five tracks. Boundless Practice will explore the craft and judgment behind legal work, Boundless Systems will focus on operations and workflows, Boundless Access will address access to justice and new markets, Boundless Firms will examine firm strategy and structure, and Boundless Futures will look at what lies ahead for the legal profession.
Seattle offers a fitting backdrop for this conversation. Known for its culture of innovation and its role in shaping technologies that have changed how people live and work, the city reflects the ambition behind Boundless. Its history of challenging established ways of thinking and creating new possibilities makes it a natural setting to explore the future of legal practice and the opportunities ahead for the profession.
“AI is challenging some of the most fundamental assumptions about how legal services are delivered, from the economics of legal work to the scale and complexity of what firms can take on,” said Reagan Attle, Chief Marketing Officer at Clio. “As those traditional constraints begin to fall away, the profession has an opportunity to rethink what’s possible and shape a future that looks very different from the one we know today. That spirit of ambition and reinvention is what Boundless represents, and it’s why Seattle, a city with a history of turning bold ideas into world-changing innovations, is such a fitting place to bring this conversation to life.”
The conference has built a reputation for bringing together some of the most influential voices shaping how we think, work, and lead, with past speakers including bestselling author and journalist Malcolm Gladwell, AI researcher and Wharton professor Ethan Mollick, renowned psychotherapist and author Esther Perel, and legal futurist Richard Susskind. Building on that tradition, ClioCon 2027 will feature keynote conversations that challenge conventional thinking, alongside expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and insights from Clio's annual Legal Trends Report.
Hosted at the Seattle Convention Center's Summit Building, the two-day event will bring together legal professionals, industry leaders, and innovators to examine the ideas and technologies shaping the next era of legal practice.
