A place for everyone
Our diversity & inclusion employee group is a grassroots initiative, founded by Clions. We are committed to removing hiring barriers, and we conduct regular company-wide inclusion surveys to ensure that we are always improving.
Change starts with us.

Building solutions for everyone
Innovation and accessibility aren’t mutually exclusive. We want to make our products as innovative and inclusive as possible—part of that is integrating accessibility into our designs from the beginning.
To learn from our peers, we started the Vancouver Digital Accessibility Meetup. We also get guidance from some experts in the industry.
There’s more to do, but we’ve started by having a dedicated accessibility team, a testing station, and design guidelines that specify color, screen reader labeling, keyboard access, and more.
Our values
-
Customer Success Comes First
We earn the love and trust of our customers by helping them transform their practices.
-
Thrive as Team Clio
We win together and lose together as one team. (No egos.)
-
Play to Win
We think and act like founders and are constantly raising the bar.
-
Draw the f***ing Owl
We seek solutions when we find problems and make things happen.
-
Live a Learning Mindset
We’re always striving to improve ourselves through real-time actionable feedback, growth opportunity, and challenges.
-
No Doors; Only Windows
We communicate and collaborate often and with intent. (No silos.)
-
Stay Fit, Have Fun
We take care of ourselves, physically and mentally, and laugh. A lot.

Support for our communities
Communities are great when they’re great for everyone. That’s why we started the Clio Gives Program, where we donate 1% of our profits, 1% of our product, and 1% of employee time (that’s 2.5 days per person) to volunteer every year.
To date, we’ve donated over $20 million in free Clio software to make justice more accessible to everyone.
-
Mental health for lawyers
We support initiatives dedicated to championing better work habits and conditions for lawyers, including Bring Change to Mind, Dave Nee Foundation, and Bell Media’s Let’s Talk Day.
-
Access to justice
We support legal clinics and non-profits in their efforts to provide representation to all, including the California Innocence Project, RISE Women’s Legal Assistance, (Free Legal Advice Centres (FLAC) Dublin, and our own disaster relief program.
-
Diversity in tech
We support a number of organizations that are creating a more diverse and inclusive industry, including Launching into Tech (founded by Clions), Tech Loves Pride, Canada Learning Code, Women Who Code, and Chic Geek.
