Clio Cloud Conference 2014: Day 2

Sitting here at the airport some 24 hours after the Clio Cloud Conference wrapped up, and thinking about Day Two, all I can say is that I’m both exhausted and exhilarated. But more the latter. We wanted this conference to make a difference, but truly the difference was you—the seemingly never ending stream of lawyers, paralegals, and others in the legal sphere that joined us in Chicago for two incredible days of conversations and connections.

From our customers to our sponsors to our friends in every corner of this industry, you made this event happen (we just organized it). And we thank you for that. You engaged with us in person and on social media. You told us your stories. You connected with one another. You celebrated. Laughed. And shared ideas on making Clio better. That inspired us to keep working as hard and as smart as we possibly can to make a solution that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.

What happened in those two days? I think the clearest thing that happened is that we have built a community here—forward minded lawyers and legal professionals who are leading the way in law, technology, practice management, and client service. And they’re not afraid to show it! Of course, I’m one of Clio’s communications and marketing guys—you’re probably reading this with a sense of skepticism or cynicism.

After all, Jack and Rian pay me to write nice things about Clio and the conference (although I sincerely felt this conference was a massive success, redefining the way I felt about legal when I worked in Big Law). But Kevin O’Keefe from LexBlog isn’t on the payroll. You should read his review in Above the Law. It is almost as awesome as Kevin. To those who were there, thank you for joining us.

Thank you for being part of this community. And for challenging us to do what we need to do, every day, to make a product and a conference that’s all about you. We hope to see you and many more new friends and Clio family members next year on October 19 and 20, 2015 when we hit up Chicago once more and take the cloud to the Radisson Blu Aqua.
