    The Launch//Code Developer Contest celebrates the best new integrations in Clio’s App Directory—featuring new innovations that will inspire the future of legaltech.

    Finalists will be invited to pitch their app to a panel of judges for the chance to win the $100,000 grand prize.

Launch Code FAQ

Who is eligible to enter Launch//Code?

The Launch//Code contest (Contest) is not open to the general public or to persons in their individual capacity. The Contest is open to companies/businesses legally organized as a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company, corporation or otherwise which are located and doing business within the 50 United States, including the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding Quebec). Void in Quebec, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, outside the U.S., and wherever else prohibited by law. Entrant must be: (i) a legal resident of the 50 United States, including the District of Columbia, or Canada (excluding Quebec), (ii) age 18 or older at the time of entry, and (iii) the president, CEO or owner of a company or business or an authorized representative associated with a company or business submitting the entry (the “Contest Entrant”). If submitting an entry as an authorized representative, written permission must be obtained from appropriate management personnel at the company or business before participating in the Contest, with the understanding that Sponsor/Administrator may condition continued eligibility by that company/business upon authorized representative submitting adequate proof of obtaining such permission. For the avoidance of doubt, different divisions, affiliates or subsidiaries of the same company/business MAY each participate in the Contest provided that each such division/affiliate/subsidiary is independently owned and operated.

How do I enter the contest?

The Contest Entry Period begins at 12:00:01 AM ET on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on Sunday, August 15, 2021. All entrants must have an app in Clio’s App Directory that provides complimentary functionality to the Clio Cloud Practice Management Platform.

Existing Clio App Partners:

  • Complete the contest entry form found here and submit.

If you are not an existing Clio App Partner, launch an app by using the information in Clio’s API by completing steps 1 through 3 before entering the contest in step 4:

  1. Complete the developer application form found here.
  2. Create a developer account and develop an App Integration using Clio’s Platform API found here.
  3. Step 3: Submit your App Integration to Clio for review by emailing [email protected] . App
    Integration email submissions must be received in their entirety by Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM ET. Complete the required documentation that will be provided via email after App Integration submission. Must be completed within one (1) week after materials are sent by Clio.
  4. Complete the contest entry form found here and submit.

What if I already have an integration with Clio?

The 2021 Launch//Code Developer Contest will be open to all partners that have developed on Clio, and are listed in the App Directory as of August 15, 2021.

If your app was listed in the App Directory prior to September 1, 2020, you must indicate how you have innovated or improved your app in the past year when submitting the contest entry form.

How do I get started with building an integration with Clio?

To start building your integration, follow the steps outlined in the Getting Started section of our API docs.

How do I win Launch//Code?

In late 2021, we’re going to select finalists to come to the 2021 Clio Cloud Conference and pitch their integrations to our live audience and a panel of judges. Your integration will be evaluated by our judges on a variety of criteria, including quality, impact, and innovation. Learn more from our Official Rules.

If my business or company wins Launch//Code, do we actually win $100,000?

Yes, really. Minus whatever your business or company may owe come tax time.

If I enter Launch//Code, do I still own my integration?

Yes! We do not make a claim to any software published in our App Directory, though we may use your trademarks for marketing purposes.
