Summary:

We are currently seeking a Global Mobility Lead to join our Total Rewards team! If you are passionate about architecting global mobility programs that move our talent seamlessly across borders, and you thrive in a 'builder' environment of rapid growth and continuous change, then this is the place for you. You will play a pivotal role in designing the infrastructure that connects Clio’s global talent to their next great opportunity.

What your team does:

The Global Mobility team designs and builds the infrastructure that enables our talent to move seamlessly across borders. By balancing strategic program design with a high-touch employee experience, we navigate the complexities of global immigration, tax, and talent mobility to ensure our people can thrive wherever Clio needs them. Through close partnerships across the business, we translate global growth strategies into compliant, scalable, and meaningful move experiences for our workforce.

What you'll work on:

  • Architect Clio’s  global mobility framework. This includes drafting mobility  policies, defining "Tier" packages, and creating standardized workflows for North American and International moves. This could include permanent relocation, assignments, temporary work from anywhere/remote programs and business travel.

  • Act as the sole point of contact for relocating employees providing full cycle support. You will handle everything from high-level cost projections, partnering with finance on tax implications,  to the tactical logistics of household goods shipping, temporary housing, etc. all while elevating the employee experience.

  • Immigration by managing the day-to-day filing and tracking of visas and work permits. You will oversee immigration workflows from recommending the optimal immigration pathway, to  gathering documentation, monitoring expiry dates, and coordinating directly with external legal counsel to ensure no lapses in work authorization.

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition. Educate the business on mobility timelines appropriately managing expectations while supporting business needs, eligibility to work from an immigration perspective, and accountable for the total cost impact for international hires/mobility. Establish and maintain the source of truth for mobility compliance. Perform regular audits of files and processes to ensure alignment with global labor laws and Clio’s internal legal requirements.

  • Act as the primary owner for Clio’s global mobility vendor ecosystem (Immigration Counsel, Tax Consultants, household goods movers, destination service providers, etc). Monitor and audit service delivery against established SLAs, lead regular business reviews, and ensure partners provide a high-touch, seamless experience for all employees.

  • Hands-on coordination with the Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accurate tax withholding, shadow payroll setup, and the tracking of relocation-related expenses for tax year-end reporting.

  • Build a best in class experience for moving employees. Create onboarding guides and resources that simplify the complexities of transitioning to a new country or region.

  • Establish the tracking mechanisms for all mobility data. Regularly report on program spend, volume, and "time-to-start" metrics to show the impact of the mobility function to leadership.

What you may have:

  • 5 - 7+ years in Global Mobility, International HR, or Tax/Immigration consulting

  • Global Mobility certification is an asset (GMS/GMS-T/CGMP)

  • Experience designing, scaling and managing global mobility programs end to end within a high growth tech or global enterprise environment

  • Deep subject matter expertise of Canada, U.S. and international immigration categories  (e.g., LMIA, H-1B, L-1, etc).

  • Strong understanding of global tax principles including tax equalization, shadow payroll and the implications of cross border social security and totalization agreements.

  • Experience managing complex global assignments and relocations

  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced tech or high-growth environment

  • Ability to thrive  in a builder environment, rolling up sleeves to execute while architecting scalable, sustainable programs

This is a new role.
