The law firm leadership summit will be hosted on the Zoom Events platform. When you register, you will receive a calendar hold, so be sure to save the event to your calendar! You will receive your link to access the summit one week prior to the event, as well as reminder emails from Zoom one day and one hour before it starts.

CLE/CPD Credit (Partner Track) 

Clio has partnered with the ABA to seek eligibility for CLE and CPD credits to lawyers with licenses to practice in the United States and Canada who join the live session of this webinar.

States typically decide whether a program qualifies for MCLE credit in their jurisdiction 4-8 weeks after the program application is submitted. For many live events, credit approval is not received prior to the program.

To Receive CLE/CPD Credit:
If you attended a full live CLE/CPD-eligible session and completed the CLE/CPD poll, you’ll receive a personalized affidavit from [email protected] within one business week (check your spam folder).

To qualify for credit, you must:

– Register for the webinar (and log in live on the day/time of the session) under your own personal credentials, as we will need this to verify your proof of attendance. *Note: You should not use someone else’s registration or credentials to log in and must ensure that your name and email are registered correctly.
– Attend the entire session live.
– Participate in the CLE/CPD poll during the live session.

Bruce MacEwen founded Adam Smith, Esq. in 2002 and is a widely recognized voice on law firm strategy, publishing nearly 2,000 articles on topics like practice area prioritization, globalization, leadership, and M&A. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The American Lawyer, and he’s the author of several books, including Tomorrowland, praised by Paul Weiss Chair Brad Karp as “a tour de force.” Before founding his firm, Bruce practiced securities and corporate law and spent a decade as in-house counsel at Morgan Stanley, where he also completed the MBA coursework at NYU’s Stern School of Business evening program. He holds degrees from Princeton and Stanford Law School, and is a native Manhattanite who lives with his wife and their dog on the Upper West Side.

Ed is VP Legal Innovation & Strategy at Clio and the co-founder of Fastcase. He’s an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches The Law of Robots and GenAI & BigLaw, and at the University of Chicago Law School, where he teaches Generative AI in Practice. There are very few people who have spent more time at the intersection of AI, ethics, and the actual practice of law — and we’re lucky to have him today.

Elyssa A. Goldstein, CLM, PHR, SHRM-CP is the current President of ALA and Chief Operating Officer of Rebenack, Aronow & Mascolo, LLP in New Jersey.  She began her career in legal in 2009 as a receptionist and transitioned to legal management in 2013.  Elyssa previously served as Co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Law Office Management Committee, as well as on its Pandemic Task Force – Law Firm Opening and Operations Committee.  She served on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey ALA chapter for eight years, including one year as President.  At the international  level, Elyssa has served in several volunteer leadership positions before joining the Board of Directors in 2023..   In her free time, Elyssa volunteers with the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project, working with middle and high school students on resumes, cover letters, scholarship essays and mock interviews.

Gene Commander is an attorney, arbitrator, and mediator with more than four decades of experience in the legal industry. He built a national construction law practice as a shareholder and group leader, and following his firm’s 2009 merger into the Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli, served as managing shareholder of its Denver office from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, Gene established an alternative dispute resolution practice, where he has served as a third-party neutral in more than 150 complex construction, real estate, and commercial disputes. Since 2020, he has also advised law firm leaders on growth strategy. A recognized consensus builder and problem solver, Gene is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and an active member of the American, Colorado, and Denver Bar Associations and spoke at the 2026 ALA Annual Conference & Expo.

Stephanie Shivar is the founder of Gallantry Coaching & Consulting, which she launched in 2018 to help individuals and organizations grow with courage and purpose. She is a Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, a Certified Financial Services Coach through ClientWise, a Certified Professional Diversity Coach, and a Certified Trainer of the New York Times bestseller The 12 Week Year. Before founding her practice, Stephanie served as Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Growth Officer, and Chief Development Officer for Northwestern Mutual in Denver, Colorado. She works with clients across marketing, sales process, business development, operational effectiveness, financial acumen, and human resources, focusing on strategic planning, cultural dynamics, professional development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Stephanie recently spoke at the 2026 ALA Annual Conference & Expo.
