Summary:

We are currently seeking a new Project Manager to join our Strategic Initiatives team in Vancouver or Toronto.

What your team does:

Clio’s Project Management Office (PMO) leads our most strategic, complex, cross-functional projects and product launches. We work very closely with teams across the entire Clio org and work with roles at all levels. We’re the gears that reliably keep projects running on time and keep the business growing.

The PMO sits within the Business Operations department which is focused on driving results for the company through strategic, operational, and data-driven improvements and growth. As a part of the wider Business Operations team, the PMO acts as a key partner in implementing Clio’s long-term strategy.

Who you are:

First and foremost you are a person who seeks to build partnerships based on trust. You can work with people at all levels from junior to executive and you are able to meet people where they are. You are obsessed with bringing clarity to ambiguous situations and you are a problem solver who looks for common sense and human-centric solutions. You are able to see the big picture across a wide canvas of projects, priorities, and teams to identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities; and, as such, you are meticulously organized. 

What you’ll work on:

  • You will lead project management for the launches of new products by working closely with R&D and GTM leaders. This will include supporting long term product development roadmaps through pilots and phased launches over time.   

  • You will work closely with Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, GTM Leaders, and Executive Sponsors to develop project plans that align to the strategic vision and goals for  new product launches.

  • You will facilitate needs assessments and task scoping with R&D and GTM workstream leaders, and continually test and validate scoping assumptions to ensure that there are no gaps leading up to a new product launch.

  • You will meet regularly with teams and stakeholders to check on progress and status of project work. You will remove barriers, track blockers, and enable teams to complete tasks on time.

  • You will tracking a variety of moving projects pieces; such as tasks, meeting action items, decisions, budgetary issues, and risks.

  • You will identify and highlight dependencies and facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional project streams.

  • You will draft and maintain project documents and project tracking tools (such as Asana) 

  • You will prepare weekly project status reports and escalate risks and gaps as required

  • In collaboration with senior leaders, you will design best practice processes, procedures, and structures for communication, implementation, and monitoring

  • You will contributing towards the creation of project management and product launch playbooks

  • And, you will developing standardized templates to simplify cross-functional processes 

What you may have:

  • An undergraduate degree in an area that involves project management, business, research, leadership, or software development.

  • Project management certification, change management certification, and/or additional project management training - PMP certification is essential

  • 3 - 5 years experience working in project management or adjacent disciplines in a fast growing SaaS/tech company

  • Direct experience working with software development / R&D teams is essential

  • Experience conducting needs assessments, scoping project tasks and deliverables, and creating roadmaps and timelines/gantt charts

  • Experience facilitating workshop groups and coaching individuals

Serious bonus points if you have:

  • People management experience or if you have held any leadership roles

  • The expected salary range* for Canadian Applicants similar roles within Clio is:  $96,100 - $132,200 CAD

**Please note that the expected new hire salary range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Clio. Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
