Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Strategy Associate to join our Strategy & Operations team. This role is available to candidates in our Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto hub offices.

The Team:

Strategy & Operations sits at the center of our business. Our team is broadly responsible for establishing our corporate strategy in partnership with the C Suite, Product, Corporate Development, and Finance as well as scaling Clio’s operating rhythm as the company grows.  As a Senior Strategy & Operations Associate, you’ll be aligned to a set of business segments where you’ll support the General Manager/ Product Manager in determining immediate and long term business strategy, facilitating annual planning, setting OKRs, building business / investment cases, and supporting our business review rituals to measure business performance, seize opportunities, and course correct as needed. You will bring an objective eye, outside thinking, and a holistic company perspective to the domain experts / leaders at Clio.

What you’ll work on:

  • Lead research on new expansion opportunities through market sizing, assessing the competitive landscape, collaborating on product strategy & differentiation, establishing go-to-market business fundamentals, and modeling the financials

  • Support product strategy by building long range strategic plans and supporting product operations & analytics to assess and manage performance as well as R&D ROI

  • Facilitate the synthesis of cross functional research & analysis, summarize strategic insights to develop business cases, and incubate and scale new opportunities

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Corporate Development, and Finance on build, buy, partner decisions

  • Lead execution on partnership opportunities to support early stage expansion

  • Provide general analytical support for operational and strategic decisions across the Company

  • Operate as an embedded strategic management consultant and resource

What you bring:

  • 4-6 years work experience in a relevant field (e.g. management consulting, investment banking, strategy & operations, business development)

  • Experience with market sizing, competitive landscaping, new business modeling

  • Strong focus on strategic thinking and analytical problem solving

  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communicator

  • Self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented

  • Understanding for how to measure and evaluate performance across all business functions

  • Strong ability to query, analyze, and synthesize insights using a variety of dataset

Serious bonus points if you have:

  • MBA

  • Direct experience with a vertical SaaS company

  • International expansion experience

The expected salary range* for this role is $96,100 to $130,100 CAD. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
