With the 2023 Clio Cloud Conference mere months away, we’re gearing up for our return to Nashville. And, among many other reasons to get excited about ClioCon 2023, we’re looking forward to selecting and announcing our 2023 Reisman Award winners.
The annual Reisman Awards—named after Clio’s very first customer, Catherine Reisman—celebrate Clio customers who have made outstanding contributions to our industry. Past Reisman Award winners have achieved unparalleled growth, delivered innovative customer experiences, broken down industry barriers, and advocated for vulnerable individuals and organizations.

Law firm awards that inspire
From the very beginning, Clio has always taken inspiration from our customers and the crucial work they do. From the humble early days at Clio to hosting our very first Clio Cloud Conference, our goal has always been to help our customers succeed. After all, your success is our success.
In continuing our legacy to you, our customers, we started the Reisman Awards in 2017. These awards formally recognize and thank our customers for their influential work and hold the winners up as shining examples for the legal profession at large. We couldn’t be more proud of our past Reisman Awards alums, and their impactful contributions to their communities and the future of legal.
The Reisman Awards consist of seven categories—each featuring law firms that have excelled in a particular area. Like every year, our 2022 winners reflected the best of the best in legal practice. From a law firm that pivoted in the midst of the pandemic and experienced five-fold revenue growth to a solo practitioner providing opportunities for funding, mentoring, and connection to diverse entrepreneurs, their captivating stories are sure to inspire legal professionals.
For 2022, our winners were selected as follows:

- Community Champion: Creedon Law PLLC
- Best New Law Firm: Rudder Law

Reisman Award criteria
Now that you’ve learned more about the Reisman Awards, it’s time to start thinking about the 2023 nominations process.
The nomination process is based on submissions received from the legal community. There’s no need to be humble or shy, here—nominators can submit their own firm for consideration.
We evaluate submissions based on:
- Relevance to the award category
- The firm’s story
- Relevant statistics and data
- How the firm uses Clio to achieve its goals
To summarize, let us know what makes your firm special, how you’re making an impact, and what Clio is doing to help you. And if you’ve got great data and statistics to share, all the better. For example, if you’ve grown your revenue, increased headcount, or saved a certain number of hours per month, be sure to let us know.
Once the nomination period ends, our judges will review each submission and narrow down a list of finalists in each category. The winners are announced at the annual Clio Cloud Conference (happening in Nashville, Tennessee in 2023).

What do winners receive?
What does a Reisman winner receive (beyond serious bragging rights)? The winner for each of the seven categories will receive the following:
- A 2023 Clio Cloud Conference prize package, including VIP conference passes, a stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, and return airfare.
- Recognition at the Reisman Awards ceremony at Nashville’s legendary Grand Ole Opry House
- A 2023 Reisman Award winner trophy.
- A professionally-produced video by Clio showcasing your firm.
- Website badges, social media promotion, and press promoting your achievement.
Finalists also receive a discounted pass to the 2023 Clio Cloud Conference, a chance to be showcased in Clio’s customer success stories, and exclusive marketing assets.
How to nominate your law firm
Ready to throw your hat (or someone else’s) in the ring? Nomination submissions are free, so why not write in. Each submission is evaluated by a panel of judges, except for entries for the Legal Impact Award, our “people’s choice” award voted on by members of the legal community.
Be sure to paint a full picture of the firm’s achievements for your submission—even if it means getting back to the basics, such as why you became a lawyer in the first place or what the nominee did in a past life. We’re so excited to hear about your legal journey and all the great things your firm has achieved over the past year.

The best news of all: You still have time to reflect on your nomination, as submissions for the 2023 Reisman Awards close on March 15th, 2023. Share your story and submit your law firm for consideration.
