ClioCon 2025 Spotlights Former Lawyer Zarna Garg as Headliner for Clio After Dark

Clio announced today that comedian and former lawyer Zarna Garg will headline the highly anticipated Clio After Dark celebration at ClioCon 2025, taking place October 16–17 in Boston.

Zarna Garg has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in comedy today. An Indian immigrant mom based in New York City, she blends sharp humor with fearless social commentary, offering audiences a perspective that is both relatable and refreshingly bold. Her path from practicing law to becoming a stay-at-home mom, and ultimately to selling out comedy clubs, has been profiled in Harper’s Bazaar and celebrated by The New York Times, which described her as “something fresh: the revenge of the Indian Mom.”

That same journey has propelled Garg onto some of the world’s biggest stages and screens. Her debut comedy special, One in a Billion, is streaming on Amazon Prime, and she has collected honors that include Kevin Hart’s Lyft Comics competition, the 2021 Ladies of Laughter Award, and a spot on Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” list. Her comedy has reached millions through appearances on Apple TV’s Gutsy series, and This American Life. Most recently, she has joined Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on their Restless Leg Tour, further cementing her reputation as a comedian who commands attention.

At Clio After Dark, Garg will bring that signature voice to the stage with a performance that reflects both her personal journey and professional background. Drawing on her experiences as an immigrant mom and a former lawyer, she delivers humor with depth, sparking laughter while inviting reflection. Her set will offer more than entertainment, creating a space for the legal community to connect through stories that highlight humor, resilience, and humanity in everyday life.

“Clio After Dark is known for delivering unforgettable experiences, and Zarna Garg will take it to the next level,” said Alex Shipillo, Vice President, Growth Marketing at Clio. “Her humor and perspective reflect the innovative spirit of our community and the bold energy of ClioCon.”

Beyond the stage, Garg continues to expand her creative reach. She hosts The Zarna Garg Family Show podcast, stars in the upcoming film A Nice Indian Boy, and tours globally with her show Practical People Win. With more than two million followers across social media, she has become a powerful advocate for representation in comedy.
