Clio Named One of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Fourth Consecutive Year



Clio’s commitment to employee wellbeing and success was cited as a defining reason behind the award

 

Clio has once again been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2023, the fourth year in a row the organization has been recognized with this award. Now celebrating its 23rd year, the Canada’s Top 100 Employers Canada’s Top 100 Employers project is a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.

In order to determine Canada’s Top 100 Employers, employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. As part of this process, the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluate organizations based on eight criteria, which have remained consistent since the project’s inception. Clio received high marks across all eight criteria included in the scorecard:

  • Financial Benefits & Compensation: B+
  • Health & Family-Friendly Benefits: B+
  • Vacation & Personal Time-Off: A
  • Employee Engagement & Performance: A
  • Training & Skills Development: B+

In addition to the grades provided in the scorecard, the adjudicators highlighted Clio’s commitment to employee wellbeing and success was once again cited as a defining reason behind Clio’s recognition:

  • Clio takes a thoughtful approach when helping employees manage unexpected challenges, offering compassionate leave top-up for those called upon to care for a loved one (to 100 percent of salary for up to 16 weeks)
  • Clio adopted a Distributed by Design workforce model that provides employees with the flexibility to choose between in-office, remote and hybrid work — employees receive a one-time work-from-home allowance of $500 as well as a monthly allowance of $150 to subsidize work-from-home expenses
  • Clio provides ongoing mental wellness support through its employee assistance program as part of its health plan and offers a separate maximum of $2,000 per year for mental health practitioners
